BBB Week3 Day4+5




Day 18
Still looking for a decent replacement for the chinpull/highrow/standing rowmachingpull..



Day 19
Worked with 120kg front squats for doubles, had to quit at 4 sets, ..bus to catch to go to Seoul. 근주's wedding! Still, it's a PR for me. :D

Deload for a week, will condition with mobility exercises for a whole week...

for this coming Saturday's game against Daegu Catholic University.

BBB Week3 Day1+2



Day 15 (May 24, Mon)
Standard Dips.. 10 kilos on belt,  knees tucked in high.
Seated rows with ab straps on elbow.. helped with the isolation much more
With the awkwardness of the weighted pullups, i'm wondering if I should aim for more explosive power and no added weight..(just bw?)
Push presses suddenly jumped up a notch to 75..

Day 16 (May 25, Tue)
Squats feel more dynamic now.. full atg movements do seem to help my drive out of the hole. (although it really really sucks at the football practice, because my hamstrings are so taxed..)
ez bar deadlifts are fine, i'm still wondering about my knees buckling inwards..
dropped hanging knee raise reps to 3 instead of 6, but went much slower to try to relax my lower back more effectively.

BBB Week2 Day5



Full ATG on all front squats. barely a sticking point.. going smooth.
kept 6 reps on hamstring curls.

Did 5 sets of 3-rep-on-ea.arm weight-plate windmills @ 20kg ea. tried using the 24 kettlebell, but my left arm(bent...) wouldn't lock out, and i don't plan on face-butting a 24 kg kettlebell anytime soon.. so went with the 20kg plates instead..

Cable knee pullins as usual.. probably go heavier next week.
Superset them with some random hyperextensions on roman chair
calf raises were interspersed everywhere

total time: about 60 minutes. extremely humid-hot weather today. drank about 3 liters of water just during the workout. much more before/after

BBB Week2 Day2+4



day2
Squats; feels like "the hole" at the bottom has been taken care of, but my mid-range movement is where the sticking point seems to be at the moment. will work with waterbury's SFM next to strengthen that out.. Hamstring Curls are getting pretty damn easy now..
DL: pretty good.. higher rep ranges are fine, but I wish my knees didn't buckle so much.

Stayed out till  4am drinking, and generally got wasted, slept in all wednesday, pretty much like a rock..

Day 4.
IP w/ band: i think I can increase to 70 next week. getting pretty easy, even at 45degrees
Cable Delt flyes: incraesed to 50 ea. but hit failure on 3rd set, so went with neutral grips.. mosdef keep this weight for some time, but great concentration today.

total workout time: 45 mins.

0516 big boy basics week 2 Day 1



 nothing particularly new..
hardly no sleep last night though.

went to bed at 12:30, failed to fall asleep until 4:30 ish.. it was getting brighter outside.
then when I finally dozed off some animal/bug/cretin bit my rightleg calf... hurt REALLY bad, and then it started to throb/go numb.. then my entire right leg started to feel like needles... thought it was psychosomatic? just had my eyes open until 6:30 when roommate decided to wake up and microwave something (WTF??) . finally fell asleep, woke up at 8:00, because my bro went to school.. then i decided to screw 2nd period and sslept in..until 9:20 . HOLY...cow. just gave up and ame to school.

BBB Week1 Day4+5



day 4.

Maybe the bb lat shrug/rows should be switched for high pulls..
Cable flys to ground was alright.. tried to focus real hard on the pushing aspect of it.
i know form is good, because almost all muscle strain in on anterior delts..

Day 5.
PR on front squats. after 8 triples @ 105, attempted 115. and then 125. 115 was literally atg, 125 was pretty close to atg. sticking point halfway up.. 3 days later, I'm still feelin' it.

day 6.
decided to throw in some arm-work. It's summer afterall. :D


will stick to this armwork plan this summer. I think it's pretty comprehensive.

0509-0510 Big Boy Basics DAY 1+2

got really slack yesterday, so skipped my log.

it was great to lift again.




Took me vitamins, did me workouts. Back on Green Bulge. Gotta love CL. Realized halfway through today's program that we don't have dumbbells heavier than 20 kgs.. so got 2 ezbars and packed 50 kgs on each. I think it's 55 kgs total.

Will have to add weights too Knee-raises, and maybe use the straps, because I'm not getting explosive movements with my knees...  Nearly threw up in the shower, .. not sure if it was the egg-protein or the high-rep ranges that I haven't been training with lately. 



shaved my head, because it's getting freaking hot/humid, and hair's just a hassle.
